If you are unfamiliar with Retro City Rampage, the best way to describe it is a mash-up between Grand Theft Auto and the classic look of retro videogames. For the DX re-release, not only has every mission been reworked for a better experience, but several new additions will be implemented. These include the ability to zoom in on the action, a weapon select menu, parking garages and a handful of visual filters, among other things.

PlayStation owners will have the first chance to get their hands on the update, as Retro City Rampage: DX will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 11. The title will carry a cost of $7.99 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and will be cross-buy compatible. While owners of the previous version of the game will be able to import their old save over, they will still have to pay the full cost for the re-release.

The PC, MAC OS X, WiiWare and Xbox 360 versions are also scheduled to be released in the next few weeks. The Wii version has a release date of November 13, while the other platforms don’t have specific dates yet, but Vblank believes they will be out next week as well.
