Sony has provided an update on the status of its PlayStation-exclusive superhero series, Powers, which is due to premiere on the platform on March 10.

Based on the eponymous comic book by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, the TV show will be headed up by Chappie star Sharlto Copley opposite Susan Heyward. In the series, they play two detectives — namely Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, respectively — who specialize in all things abnormal.

Sony’s original show will encompass ten hour-long episodes, with the first arriving on March 10. In effort to give PlayStation owners a taste of the action, the company is making the pilot episode free to everyone. As for the rest of Powers, users will have to own a PlayStation Plus subscription to view the remainder of the season, and it’s understood that anybody who already holds one of these subscriptions (priced at $50 for the year) can watch Sony’s series at no additional cost.

Joining Copley and Heyward for the superhero action are Michelle Forbes, Eddie Izzard, Noah Taylor, Logan Browning, and Olyesa Rulin. In terms of showrunners, Sony has confirmed that Charlie Huston and Falling Skies‘ Remi Aubuchon will oversee the drama.

Powers will premiere on March 10 exclusively through Sony’s PlayStation Network. For more on the show, you can check out the official synopsis below.

Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?
