As previous footage alluded to, this upcoming season will primarily focus on the couple as they struggle to keep all of the plates spinning against sky-high stakes. No mean feat, of course, given that Kevin Spacey’s Frank isn’t known for making friends in the traditional sense. But now that the tyrannical South Carolinian is the newly-appointed President in Walker’s steed, it will be interesting to see how his arc pans out across the thirteen hour-long episodes.

Alongside Spacey and Robin Wright are newcomers Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, along with Gone Girl star Kim Dickens in an unspecified, yet recurring role.

House of Cards season 3 is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix come Friday, February 27. For now, you can glimpse at the delicious, politically-driven story that awaits you via the trailer above.

House-of-Cards

President Underwood fights to secure his legacy. Claire wants more than being First Lady. The biggest threat they face is contending with each other.

Based on the BBC miniseries of the same name, the third season of “House of Cards” is executive produced by David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Beau Willimon, Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti, John David Coles and Eric Roth. The one-hour drama is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth and Trigger Street Productions, Inc. in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.
