Synopsis For Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Midseason Finale Teases A Return To Maveth

The synopsis for the midseason finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been released tonight, and in addition to teasing the showdown between Agent Coulson and HYDRA boss Grant Ward, we’ve also learnt that the Secret Warriors are going to be assembled.

Furthermore, it sounds as if we’re going to be paying a visit to the alien planet that Simmons spent some time on between the second and third seasons. Does that mean we’ll see more of that God-like Inhuman we’ve been hearing about? It’s certainly possible.

S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra go head-to-head in a battle that will change Coulson’s world forever. While Daisy and her team of Inhumans fight to keep Hydra at bay, Coulson and Fitz take the ultimate risk, in the epic winter finale of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

This sounds like a massive outing for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the signs appear to be pointing to a major cliffhanger ending. If that’s the case, it’s going to be an excruciating wait until the series returns in March (Agent Carter is going to fill the gap between the first and second halves of the season).
