You Can Now Stream The Remix Series For Avicii’s “Broken Arrows”

It's been a matter of months since Avicii released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Stories, but certainly not too long for him to put out an official remix pack. "Broken Arrows" made for a sensible progression of the young Swede's folk-infused style of electronic music, and despite our own grievances, enough other artists clearly thought highly enough of the track to give him plenty of material to pick through for the collection.

The series starts with the M-22 remix, which doesn’t stray far from the arrangement of the original until a gravelly future house bass line takes the breakdown through uncharted territory. Aston Shuffle’s remix is easily the strongest of the collection as it’s the most difficult to categorize (downtempo, I guess?), whereas Kid’s fits neatly into the future bass formula and Didrick’s provides a clear example of the kind of mainstream progressive house that has emerged in recent months.
