We got a cool poster leading up to this earlier today, and now Marvel and Netflix have released a new promo video for the second season of Daredevil to give us proper glimpses of Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) sporting their updated crime-fighting costumes.

Castle’s attire (the long leather coat and skull emblem) is pretty much torn straight from the pages of the comics, but Elektra looks quite a bit different. Then again, it’s not exactly surprising that they decided to forego the barely-there outfit that the character favors in the Marvel source material.

Netflix’s caption that accompanies the teaser states that “an ancient evil is coming,” and from the trailer we know that The Hand (nasty magical ninjas) are going to factor in somehow – so this definitely suggests that we’re going to see a supernatural element introduced into the show. They may not go full-on ancient demon rising from the ground, but you can probably expect our trio of vigilantes to encounter some pretty strange stuff towards the end of the season.

At any rate, we don’t have very long to go before we get our answers, as Daredevil season 2 will be available to stream on Netflix from March 18.
