The events of this past Tuesday’s midseason premiere suggested that Gideon Malick wasn’t entirely certain that the weakened creature that returned from Maveth wearing Grant Ward’s face was in fact this all-powerful Inhuman deity from Hydra prophesy  – but it looks like ol’ Hive is determined to prove he is who he claims to be.

After Lucio – the Inhuman with the freaky freeze-eyes we met in the last episode – is brought before him, Hive seems to step out of his own skin and aim the particles straight for the unfortunate fellow. Though we don’t see it in this clip, it’s likely this is Hive’s way of adding Lucio’s consciousness and power set to the hive – at least, that’s how he operates in the comics.

Will this be enough to convince Malick that Hive isn’t still just a malnourished Ward that hasn’t been getting enough sun? Find out when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on Tuesday, March 15 at 9PM ET on ABC.
