AMC has released a promo still for their upcoming small-screen take on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s ultra-violent (and seriously messed up in various other ways) comic series, Preacher, and it gives us a new look at Jesse Custer’s Irish vampire pal, Cassidy, which should make fans of the source material very happy indeed.

Aside from a few brief glimpses in the trailers, this is the first time we’ve seen Cassidy wearing his trademark shades, and flashing the equal-parts terrifying and hilarious grin he’s known for.

In addition, the network has announced that we’ll be getting all-new look at the show during the season 2 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead. Whether that’s a full trailer, TV promo or an actual clip remains to be seen, but we’re certainly excited.

Preacher also stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse, Ian Colleti as Eugene “Arseface” Root, W. Earl Brown as Arseface’s father, Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon, and Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson as Betsy and Donny Schenck. The pilot will air on AMC on May 22.
