Taking to Twitter earlier today, it was actually Ryan Reynolds himself who revealed that Zazie Beetz had snagged the role. While she hadn’t been linked to the part in the past, and is far from a household name, the actress is an interesting choice and we’re certainly curious to see how her and Reynolds light up the screen come next year.

With casting still underway and production not set to begin until the spring, it’ll probably be some time before we actually get to see Beetz in action, but thankfully, artist Boss Logic (who recently brought us great photos of both Russell Crowe and David Harbour as Cable) has struck again, giving us an idea of how the actress may look when she debuts in Deadpool 2.

He provided two versions, and though they’re basically identical, we’ve included them both in the gallery below:

Not bad, right? Of course, there’s nothing to say that Beetz will look anything like this when the film hits theaters, but it’s a cool design nonetheless and yet another piece of impressive work from Boss Logic.

Next on the calling card for Deadpool 2 will be locating an actor to play the part of Cable – if it hasn’t already. To date, Pierce Brosnan, David Harbour and Russell Crowe have all reportedly pitched their proverbial hats into the ring for the hulking mercenary, but at least at the time of writing, that search continues.

Circling back to Domino, though, fans will know all too well that the X-Force member is a trained sniper, one that first muscled her way onto the comic scene via 1992’s X-Force #8. Since then, she’s grown into a bona fide fan-favorite, and her ability to tilt the odds ever so slightly in her favor time and time again is enough to drive Deadpool up the wall. In short, we can’t wait to see Beetz and Reynolds riff on the big screen.

Deadpool 2 is, at the of writing, without a release date, but all signs point to Fox firing up production later in 2017. Stay tuned for more!
