Logan Gets A Nice Sendoff With Sharp Fan Art

Now that Logan is in the bag and we've all been colored impressed, it's time to sit back and come to grips with the fact that Hugh Jackman is well and truly done with the character. Suffice it to say, when anyone has played a superhero for seventeen years, at least a few moviegoers are bound to get attached to them.

Now that Logan is in the bag and we’ve all been colored impressed, it’s time to sit back and come to grips with the fact that Hugh Jackman is well and truly done with the character. Suffice it to say, when anyone has played a superhero for seventeen years, at least a few moviegoers are bound to get attached to them.

Knowing that and perhaps being one among them, fan artist extraordinaire Boss Logic has put together a little tribute of his own. For those unfamiliar, this is the same person who previously treated us to some striking mock-ups of various celebrities as the likes of Poison Ivy, She-Hulk and Cable.

Examining the artwork, it looks like a person whom we can only assume is X-23 is standing over Wolverine’s lifeless hand that has been liberated of a few pounds worth of adamantium. The brutal depiction actually makes me recall his declawing from the third act of 2013’s The Wolverine, only significantly more bloody.

Here, check it out for yourself:

Having already seen Jackman’s swan song for myself, I can attest to the fact that it was indeed quite the emotional sendoff. In fact, I’ve seen various people on social media admit that it brought them to tears, so it’s no wonder that this piece has already been making the rounds.

Although Wolverine is, in fact, dead in cinematic continuity, let’s not forget there are still years worth of gaps in storytelling and Fox likely won’t let the character ride the bench for too long. After all, it’s been said that Jackman could very well have some input as to whom will carry the torch post-Logan, so I guess it’s best that we just savor this film before playing the inevitable waiting game.
