The Legends recently got a big win though when they managed to restore Rip Hunter’s memories and bring him back to the site of the angels, but a new episode description reveals that the Legion will succeed in getting the Spear and changing the world as they see fit. Rather appropriately, this instalment of Legends of Tomorrow is called “Doomsworld.” For the full scoop on what’s to come here, here’s the synopsis:

After obtaining the Spear of Destiny, the Legion of Doom rewrites reality, leaving the Legends changed, perhaps forever. Frightfully, the Legends’ and the world’s hopes rest with Rory (Dominic Purcell), but being the “hero” is not easy for him.

Meanwhile, there is tension within the Legion of Doom and the reason why the Spear of Destiny needs to be destroyed is revealed. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Sarah Hernandez.

Unsurprisingly, it sounds as if things won’t go smoothly for the villainous stable after they get everything they wanted and there’s clearly more to the Spear of Destiny than meets the eye. One big mystery is how and if it will bring back Captain Cold, a villain who was originally reported to be part of the Legion.

Perhaps Rory being the only one who seemingly isn’t changed by the team’s machinations is what leads to his old friend being brought back? We’ll just have to wait and see, but he’s been having visions of his partner in crime for a while now, so it would make sense for all of these loose plot threads to be brought together.

This episode of Legends of Tomorrow airs on March 28th, so expect more to be revealed about what’s to come in the next couple of weeks.
