Following last Sunday’s devastating midseason premiere, this week’s outing of The Walking Dead was all about finding a way to move forward.

With Alexandria compromised, Rick was forced to lead his people on a pilgrimage to find a new home at the Hilltop. The episode, titled “The Lost and the Plunderers,” also checked in on characters we didn’t meet last week, including Aaron and Enid, Negan and Simon as well as Jadis, with some major revelations coming out about the leader of the Scavengers.

Overall, though obviously not as monumentally important to the show’s lore as the previous installment, this was another solid outing that progressed the story in some interesting ways that we look forward to seeing explored in future weeks. Speaking of which, we now have our first glimpse of next Sunday’s episode in the form of the short promo up above, along with a clip down below.

Episode 8×11 is set to be titled “Dead or Alive Or” and the previously-released synopsis describes it as so: “Daryl finds himself in bad company as his group heads to the Hilltop; Maggie makes difficult decisions at the Hilltop; Gabriel’s faith becomes tested.”

With the season rolling into its final handful of episodes now, the “All-Out War” against Negan and his Saviors is getting more and more intense and that will clearly be felt in this following episode, as three key characters struggle with some dilemma or other, either against a foe or their own internal demons.

All that we know for sure is that Carl’s death will continue to have a “nuclear” effect on the rest of this season, with no one guaranteed to survive. Maggie’s most likely to bite the bullet next but, as Carl’s exit proved, you can never really tell for sure.

The Walking Dead “Dear or Alive Or” airs on AMC next Sunday, March 11th.
