Leaked Game Of Thrones Set Pics Allude To Possible Season 8 Clues

Winter is Coming has uncovered a new photo of the Game of Thrones cast descending on Seville, which typically doubles as a real-life location for King's Landing. Let the speculation commence.

Winter is coming for King’s Landing, as are many of Westeros’ most famous faces.

As Game of Thrones season 8 marches on, social media is teeming with leaked photos and alleged story clues. Remember, the Internet is dark and full of spoilers, and sure enough, just yesterday we caught wind of a major showdown involving most, if not all of the show’s key players.

It’s one that purportedly unfolds in the Dragonpit, which will likely be draped in snow come 2019, given how the Night King and his army are closing in on the Seven Kingdoms. His target? King’s Landing, we imagine, considering it’s the nexus of power within Westeros.

And at least based on this new set pic uncovered by Winter is Coming, most of the ensemble cast will be there to witness death incarnate. Featuring the likes of Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Brandon Stark), this photo was purportedly taken in Seville, which typically doubles as a real-life location for King’s Landing.

Couple this with that story rumor from yesterday and it would appear Game of Thrones season 8 plans to use the capital city to unite every major character for one last stand.

Showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss were also present, which tells us that HBO is in the process of cooking up something big.

Whether they’ll share the screen or not remains to be seen, but a follow-up report from Watchers On the Wall hinted that the likes of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), and Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) will also be present in the Dragonpit. Place your bets, folks, because if Thrones has taught us anything, it’s that not every character will make it out alive.

Expect Game of Thrones to stage its swan song next April, by which point we ought to have a better understanding of those successor series percolating over at HBO. Five story pitches have been submitted, though it’s unclear as yet whether the network intends to move forward on all five or, in the more likely scenario, cherry-pick the best of the bunch.
