Speaking of which, the Emerald Archer himself has once again left everyone scratching their heads after posting the following on Twitter:

“Big announcement Monday. So thankful for all the people in my life who made it possible.”

Granted, this could end up being one of several things, but don’t forget, the last time Amell said something like this, he ended up announcing that Batwoman will be making her live action debut in this fall’s Arrowverse crossover. Now, what we learn in a matter of days may or may not be as earth-shattering, but this is the first place my mind’s going.

As such, I’m wondering if we’ll find out who’ll be playing Batwoman on Monday, with perhaps the first promotional shot of her in full costume being unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Of course, the Powers That Be could hold off for a bit, but July usually makes for a very opportune time to reveal stuff such as this.

If not, we could be learning of other additions to be made to the TV series like, say, Blue Beetle. As you may have heard, there’s been much talk surrounding the possible introduction of Ted Kord as of late, so this or another character from DC Comics joining the fold can’t be ruled out.

The other scenario we should consider is that it could have something to do with Code 8, a project that Stephen’s been working on with his cousin, Robbie Amell, so we must continue keeping an open mind. Regardless, we wish him all the best.

Arrow returns for its seventh season on Monday, October 15 on The CW.
