Of course, after the catastrophic events of Infinity War, Vision’s sitting and thinking days just might be over. While planned sequels like Spider-Man: Far From Home make it clear that we haven’t seen the last of most, if not all, of the characters who were turned to dust at the movie’s climax, the fate Paul Bettany’s character suffered at the hands of Thanos has led many to believe that his death will be a little more permanent.

Either way, Bettany is remaining tight-lipped on the matter, and the rest of Marvel Studios are much the same. In the meantime, the Russo Brothers have taken this wall of silence as an opportunity to toy with their fans, posting cryptic images to their Twitter accounts that have prompted waves of theories from social media users who are often simply clutching at straws. Their most recent upload was an overly bright set photo that’s drawn theories ranging from a proton cannon to a taillight to some far more out-there ideas.

With the distinct possibility that the first trailer is just a few weeks away, some of our Avengers 4 questions may be answered very soon. But in any case, all will be revealed when the film hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
