Avengers 4 Directors Say They’d Be Happy To Work With Marvel Again

After helming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and the currently untitled Avengers 4, it'd be perfectly understandable if Joe and Anthony Russo needed to take a break from all things superheroes and spandex. Those are four gigantic productions, after all, all of which took a herculean amount of effort and work to piece together, and it's easy to see how the Russos might be burnt out on the genre at this point.

But apparently, that’s not the case. In fact, not only are they not tired of the Marvel Cinematic Universe just yet, but they’re also interested in working with the House of Ideas on future projects post-Avengers 4.

Speaking during a Q&A earlier today, the same one where he also spilled on the film’s first trailer and runtime, Joe Russo said that him and his brother would be happy to work for Kevin Feige again and would gladly do another film for the company in the future. He wouldn’t say if that’s indeed on the cards, but it’s nice to know that the pair are open to it, at least.

Should we expect the Russos to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 4 though? And if so, which project could they tackle next? Those are questions that obviously can’t be answered right now, but honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them stick around for Phase 4. Though don’t expect them to hop back into the MCU anytime soon.

After all, they’ll no doubt need a break first and may also want to spend some time on other projects that have probably been pushed to the side over the past few years, due to the massive commitment they’ve had to the House of Ideas. Still, with Joe confirming that they’re happy to go to work for Marvel again, we imagine that Kevin Feige and his team already have a few films lined up which they may be eyeing the directors for.
