Stephen Amells Says Arrow’s 150th Episode Is So Much Fun

Now that the first leg of Arrow‘s seventh season is behind us, it’s time to look forward to whatever 2019 may bring. Already, Oliver Queen has gotten out of prison, we’ve seen the other Emerald Archer in town unmasked, and the “Elseworlds” crossover knocked off everybody’s socks. Yes, it's been one hell of a ride to this point.

Expect for things to kick into high gear this February though when the 150th episode, “Emerald Archer,” hits airwaves. Right now, the plot remains shrouded in mystery, though it wouldn’t be crazy to assume that Oliver’s estranged sister will factor heavily into that night’s events. Either way, we’re expecting it to be one for the ages.

Hammering home that notion is Stephen Amell himself, who posted the following on Twitter:

“Just watched our 150th episode. Oh my god, it’s so much fun!!”

If that weren’t enough, executive producer and current showrunner Beth Schwartz responded with this:

“It is unlike the 149 we’ve done previously.”

Not to be outdone, consulting producer Marc Guggenheim got in the last word:

“This is true.”

For some reason, this is causing some to believe we’re in for a light-hearted romp. In my opinion, I think we’ll be treated a very fun hour of television that will inspire much conversation the next morning. However, I really don’t see the producers abandoning what’s made the show successful to this point.

In fact, if anything will get people talking, it’d be the return of Connor Hawke. As you may have heard, actor Joseph David-Jones was pictured on set recently, so this could be his big comeback. If not, we can most definitely look forward to the 151st episode, which appears to be just as important.

Arrow returns with new episodes on Monday, January 21st on The CW.
