Aquaman’s Jason Momoa Wants Lobo As The Sequel’s Villain

Aquaman has just officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the box office, making James Wan's movie the most successful entry in the Worlds of DC franchise to date. It's also now beaten The Dark Knight, the holy grail of DC cinema, in terms of overall gross, as well. All this is to say that we're pretty darn sure that Warner Bros. is already starting to prep for a sequel starring Jason Momoa's King of Atlantis.

Speaking of which, who would the superhero world’s latest leading man want to see turn up in the proposed Aquaman 2? Previously, the actor’s named Ezra Miller’s Flash and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman as two of his Super-Friends from Justice League that he’d like to team up with in his next DC film. When asked the question again by BadTaste.it though, Momoa decided to go in a completely different direction with his choice. “Lobo,” he said, following his answer up with a laugh. “Yeah, a villain.”

Momoa’s known to be a bit of a fan of the last Czarnian. When he was first snapped up by Zack Snyder to star in the DC universe, he said that he thought he was up for Lobo, due to his close resemblance to the anti-hero. The star even used his likeness to Lobo to throw people off the scent before his casting as Aquaman was officially announced.

But could Arthur Curry really face off against Lobo in the sequel? Well, the film would be an unlikely place for the Main Man to show up. Man of Steel 2 or Justice League 2 would make much more sense, as Lobo’s more of a Superman foe or a threat for the whole team. But, seeing as neither of those sequels seem to be happening, and DC’s been trying to do something with Lobo for the past few years, maybe it could happen.

Tell us, would you like to see Lobo in an Aquaman sequel? If so, who do you think should play him? Have your say in the comments section below.
