Apex Legends Season 1 Release Date May Have Leaked

Thanks to a Tweet from AMD Gaming, we may now know when Apex Legends Season 1 will get underway, and it's exactly when we expected.

When it comes to gaming, Apex Legends is currently the talk of the town, and rightfully so. Since arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PC around the start of February, it’s quickly become the multiplayer shooter that just keeps on growing, racking up more than 50 million players already and showing itself to be a fun, exhilarating and refreshing take on the genre.

In fact, there’s even been some talk that its on its way to dethroning Fortnite, and though it very well may end up doing so down the road, for now, there’s still quite a bit of life left in Epic Games’ smash hit. Still, Apex is doing extremely well for itself and the best is yet to come, as we haven’t even arrived at the first Battle Pass.

It is on the way though, rest assured, and we may have the date for its debut thanks to a Tweet from AMD Gaming. As you can see below, they’ve revealed that tomorrow, March 12th, will bring with it a balance patch. And while there’s nothing particularly special about that, they may have accidentally let slip the date on which Season 1 will begin as well, and here’s why.

A while back, Respawn said that no more balance changes would be coming to the game until Season 1 got underway. So, if there’s indeed a patch coming tomorrow, then it would also indicate that the first season of content will kick off at that point, too. What’s more is that AMD was actually invited to Respawn last week to help them fix some of the game’s issues on PC, meaning it’s very likely they’re privy to information that we’re not.

However, before you go ahead and clear your schedule for tomorrow, note that once fans started marking down March 12th as the kickoff date for Season 1, AMD Tweeted another message to say that their first post wasn’t any sort of leak and they didn’t intend to imply that tomorrow would signal the arrival of the Battle Pass. Of course, some people think they’re just trying to clean up the mess they made, but others are taking them at their word.

In any case, it shouldn’t be too much longer now before Respawn is ready to reveal their plans for Apex Legends and if you ask us, we imagine that at the very least, we’ll get an official announcement tomorrow. If not the Battle Pass itself.
