When we rejoin the saga in a matter of weeks, it very much sounds like we’ll learn the full breadth of Nora and Thawne’s alliance. Already, the first trailer promoting said installment has hinted at just that, with the official synopsis for “Godspeed” backing it up. Furthermore, series veteran Danielle Panabaker has been confirmed as director:

DANIELLE PANABAKER DIRECTS — After discovering that Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is working with Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) disagree about how to handle their daughter in the wake of this shocking news. Team Flash isn’t sure they can trust Nora, so they go through her journal to find out exactly how she came to work alongside their greatest nemesis. Danielle Panabaker directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & Kelly Wheeler (#518). Original airdate 4/16/2019.

Strangely enough, we’ve yet to receive any mention of Godspeed himself, barring the title of the episode itself, of course. To date, fans have formulated their own theories regarding how he fits into the grand scheme of things, but it’s looking like we’ll all be left in the dark until showtime.

Rest assured, though, that the villainous speedster is coming, as pictures showing him on the set did leak not long ago. As you may remember, his costume very closely mirrored his comic book counterpart’s, but the other specifics could diverge from there. Here’s hoping that he features in an official promo gallery, one of which could find its way online as early as next week.

The Flash returns with new episodes on Tuesday, April 16th on The CW.
