Doug Liman In Talks To Adapt Railhead
Warner Bros. is evidently happy with director Doug Liman's work on Edge of Tomorrow as they'll be bringing him back to adapt the YA sci-fi novel, Railhead. Written by Philip Reeve, the story is set in a futuristic world (of course) where "trains run through space via portals." The main protagonist will be a "petty thief hired to steal an object that happens to be more important than he was led to believe, setting off an adventure that could change the course of the galaxy.”

Lionsgate Sets Johnny Depp’s Mortdecai For A February 2015 Release
Deadline is reporting that Mortdecai, the action comedy starring Johnny Depp, has been set for a February 6th, 2015 release date by Lionsgate. Based on the 1970s novels by Kyril Bonfiglioli, the film focuses on the titular art dealer and part-time rouge, who "juggles angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist as he travels the globe in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filed with Nazi gold."

Jessica Chastain Replacing Naomi Watts In Andrew Dominik’s Blonde
Killing Them Softly director Andrew Dominik is gearing up to shoot his Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde, this August. Based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, the film was set to star Naomi Watts as the iconic actress. Now, however, Watts has dropped out, perhaps disillusioned with biopics after Diana got savaged by critics, and The Wrap is reporting that two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain will step in to replace her.

Disney Is Struggling With Captain America 3’s Release Date
By now, I'm sure that most moviegoers have May 6th, 2016 marked down in their calendars. It's an important day for cinema, as it will see Batman vs. Superman open up against Captain America 3. The decision to have these two films open on the same day is a strange one (as it will undoubtedly result in a loss of box office dollars for both), but so far, neither Disney or Warner Bros. is willing to budge.
