The coronavirus pandemic has racked up hundreds of thousands of infected worldwide, with a death toll of multiple thousands and sadly many more to follow before people much smarter than all of us are able figure out how to fight it. That still hasn’t stopped some celebrities from making asinine comments about the situation though, the latest of whom, Evangeline Lilly, is being suitably dragged for them.
The coronavirus has caused the shutdown of TV production, meaning that most TV shows will be going on indefinite hiatus until things have calmed down and people’s safety can be assured. To partially bridge the gap until normal service is resumed, the ultimate Arrowverse crossover “Crisis On Infinite Earths” will be re-airing in its entirety, and thankfully this time, without a month’s break between episodes just as things get to their most intense.
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday is the ninth entry in the Friday the 13th franchise, and has remained something of a bastard stepchild in an already shaky franchise. Two versions exist, an R-rated theatrical cut and a slightly longer unrated director’s cut, the latter of which will be making its way to Blu-ray for the first time.
This week’s conversation on The Walking Dead has been all about Michonne’s departure from the show, and as one of the series’ most popular characters, her final episode drew in the season’s highest ratings since its premiere. One of the most meaningful takes on her leaving has come from Danai Gurira's co-star of six years though, Andrew Lincoln, who played Rick until the character’s supposed death last season.
With the coronavirus mercilessly sweeping the planet, places where people gather to be entertained are being shut down, and cinemas are sadly no exception. This is playing havoc with the release schedules of major movies with many now being released digitally, the latest of which is action film Bloodshot, available from today.
The longer a character has lasted on The Walking Dead, the bigger a deal is made about their exit. Michonne has been around since the finale of season 2, and last night’s episode was entirely constructed around the build up to her final departure, and the one thing that could have convinced her to leave.
There are only a few episodes left of this season of The Walking Dead, and a brief preview for this week’s outing sees Carol take her final vengeance on Alpha by planting the reanimated head of the dead Whisperer leader on a wooden pike in mockery of the fate of her adopted son Henry. This won't be the end of things, though, and after Beta discovers what happened, it will likely spark a final assault from the skin-masked tribe that will result in a high body count.
Ashley Eckstein, who has voiced Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars since the 2008 movie, has stated that the final season will give the young warrior her true ending.
