A new video from Farm Sanctuary shows Joker star and outspoken animal activist Joaquin Phoenix rescuing a baby calf and its mother from a slaughterhouse.
Despite glowing reviews from critics and a stellar cast, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) brought in a meager $33.25 million at the domestic box office on opening weekend, performing well under the expected $40-60 million that many analysts had predicted prior to its release. This makes it the weakest opening of the DCEU, though many have taken to Twitter in its defense – and for good reason; it's a fantastic and fun way to spend an evening with Harley Quinn and her gang of misfits.
Fans eagerly awaiting news about Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley’s team-up film Chaos Walking will be happy to hear that, after nearly a decade in production and three years of post-filming drama, Lionsgate has announced the movie will finally release in theaters on January 22, 2021.
Originally scheduled for release on March 1, 2019, Chaos Walking was postponed for reshoots in 2018. Unfortunately for director Doug Liman, Holland’s Spiderman: Far From Home and Ridley’s Star Wars commitments kept the reshoots from taking place for a year, resulting in the film being delayed indefinitely. Thankfully for fans, the new or altered scenes eventually commenced shooting last year, allowing Lionsgate to finally offer some closure to years of issues.
