As Ridley Scott contemplates his next project, he has attached himself to yet another one. Scott will direct and produce a Simon Mann biopic, about the former British army officer. Gerard Butler is set to star while Robert Edwards will pen the script.
The other day we told you that Angelina Jolie had been cast in Ridley Scott's Gertrude Bell biopic. We also mentioned that another Ridley Scott film, Gucci, about the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci, was in the pre-production stage.
Scarlett Johansson has announced she will move behind the camera soon and make her directional debut with the once lost Truman Capote novel, Summer Crossing. The film, which is currently without a studio, will be produced by The Deer Hunter producer Barry Spikings from a Tristine Skyler script.

George Clooney is reportedly up against another E.R. star, Noah Wyle, for the lead role in the Steve Jobs biopic. The film, which is set up at Sony Pictures, is said to be under the working title Apple and will be penned by writer Aaron Sorkin.

Angelina Jolie has been cast as Gertrude Bell is Ridley Scott's biopic about the life of the Middle Eastern pioneering figure. The biopic titled Gertrude Bell is one of three films that Scott is thinking about directing next. The script is being penned by Jeffrey Caine and while it is currently without a studio, with Jolie and Scott at the helm I don't think they'll have trouble in that department.
