Elevator Action Deluxe Brings Revamped Verticality To PSN
This virtual generation has seen its fair share of revamped remakes of popular titles from the past. It's been quite a successful venture for a lot of companies looking to bring back the addictive gameplay, creative aspects and retro feel of some of our most beloved titles from years gone by. The next game to receive this treatment is Elevator Action Deluxe. A PSN remake of TAITO's classic door-based puzzle shooter, Elevator Action, it's on its way down the proverbial pipeline. It's entered the door marked August 30, readying itself for a digital release on that day for an affordable price of $9.99. At least, in North America. Everywhere else will be able to relive the door-filled past the following day.

Deathspank Returns In The Baconing Later This Month
Deathspank will be making a triumphant return to the XBOX 360 at the end of this month, via The Baconing. The third entry in the downloadable series of quests, laughs and mischief will be available on XBOX Live Arcade on August 31. It's just one day later than the game's PSN release date, as part of the PlayStation Network PLAY promotion. Unlike Bloodrayne: Betrayal, it won't be receiving a lengthy delay because of a timed exclusivity deal or anything like that.

The Silent Hill HD Collection Will Spook The XBOX 360 As Well
Those who own Microsoft's XBOX 360 have just received an invitation to re-enter two of Silent Hill's classic haunts. Speaking today via video conferencing software, Silent Hill: Downpour producer Tomm Hulett confirmed that Konami will be bringing its remastered Silent Hill Collection to the 360. The set, which contains updated versions of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, was previously only announced for the PlayStation 3. It's been said that the company is planning a simultaneous launch on both consoles within its planned September/October release window.
