Take two. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was originally set to release March 20th, but sadly those hopes were dashed against the rocks a while ago. Luckily for all of us waiting to get our snipe on, we now have a new release date set for August 21st for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
As someone who lost countless hours to Diablo II as a Necromancer, the latest Diablo III character spotlight calls to me. The Witch Doctor appears to play out in a similar fashion to a standard Necromancer build, relying on the summoning of minions and the careful use of spells. The Witch Doctor does a few offensive spells of his own; his strength coming from cursing his enemies and unleashing hordes of enemies upon them.
Rumors of Crysis 3’s existence started breaking out a few days ago, but we finally have the first preview trailer that you can find below. The trailer itself doesn’t tell us much outside of the fact that it’s going to look very pretty (something fans of the series should have been able to count on) but through some digging we found a few tidbits of information for you guys.
Naval War: Arctic Circle is a game trying so hard to cater to different audiences that it sometimes loses track of what defines those audiences in the first place. While it is certainly not a bad game, it definitely falls into a niche market.
It’s almost impossible to keep up with the constant updates for Dungeon Defenders, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t let you guys know about the latest going ons. Trendy Entertainment has turned to you guys to design some new maps, and is offering some sweet loot as incentive.
Sure, the closed beta for Diablo III may be ending May 1st, but that’s no reason to panic for those of you who haven’t been able to get a golden ticket yet. Blizzard decided to, well, be Blizzard and has surprised us with an Open Beta Weekend starting right now and running until April 23 at 10 AM PDT. This is your chance to jump in and try each of the classes up to level 13 to see if just what all the fuss is about. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to find a better excuse for blowing off my friends this weekend outside of “big barbarian makes things go boom”
Are you the type to jump into the middle of the fray with zero regard for your own well-being, but can’t be bothered with all of that bulky armor? Then Diablo III has just the thing for you. The latest character video focuses on the Monk class, which seems to play out as a mix between the Paladin and Assassin classes from Diablo II. You can check out the video for that below
Anomaly - Warzone Earth is one of the best XBLA releases to date. I can’t help but think that, if it had a bit more to offer, this would receive a near perfect score across the board.
After being in beta for quite a while, Tribes Ascend has finally opened up to the public. The free to play first person shooter has been an absolute time sink for some of our staff, and it’s really easy to see why.
There’s nothing quite as sad as a sad barbarian. You’ve seen them, barely able to lift their hammer, as they dream of the battles of yesteryear. Since Diablo II, they’ve scattered across the land without will to hope. Well luckily for them, the invading (evil) Sanctuary has finally given them a reason to perk up. They’ll get their chance to build up fury to slaughter anything that gets in the way, carry weapons roughly the size of New Jersey and scream to their hearts' content. There’s a long way to go before they’re restored to their prior glory, but it seems that Diablo III has finally offered the chance for them to heal and move forward.
