We've known the project was coming since last Halloween, but today Netflix officially announced Wednesday, a live-action Addams Family TV series from Tim Burton. The Dumbo director is making his TV debut with the series, which will focus on the gothic clan's morose teen daughter as she attends boarding school at Nevermore Academy. Netflix unveiled a poster with the news, featuring Wednesday in silhouette, playing a violin with a butcher's knife.

The first trailer for Disney's latest live-action reimagining, Cruella, dropped earlier today, and it promised something a little different from the studio's usual remakes. Rather than a beat-for-beat redo of an animated classic, Cruella tells the story of how one of the Mouse House's greatest antagonists became so evil. Seeing as it's a villain origins story, then, it's drawing a lot of unexpected comparisons to a certain Warner Bros. flick.

William Shatner Breaks The Silence On Star Trek 4 Return Rumors
William Shatner has long since stepped away from the franchise that made his name, but a wild rumor recently sprung up that claimed he was set to return as the Prime Universe's James T. Kirk for Star Trek 4. Seeing as Kirk died in 1994's Star Trek: Generations, it was theorized Shatner would be de-aged for his cameo, which would apparently see him appear alongside Chris Pine's Kirk of the Kelvin timeline.

Following Aquaman making over $1 billion at the box office back in December 2018, Warner Bros. is keen to expand what you might call the Aqua-verse. Aquaman 2 is believed to be shooting later this year, with horror-themed spinoff The Trenches also in the works. And as per the studio's ongoing aim to generate more movie tie-in content for HBO Max, animated series Aquaman: King of Atlantis is on its way to the streamer, too.
