Winnie The Pooh Live-Action Movie Reportedly In The Works At Disney
After the wild success of Beauty and the Beast, Disney has apparently become determined to give the live-action treatment to every single one of their animated classics. 2019 alone saw Dumbo, Aladdin, Lady and the Tramp and The Lion King with the delayed Mulan landing soon. Beyond that, we know they’re working on adaptations of The Little Mermaid, The Sword in the Stone, Pinocchio, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Lilo & Stitch. Now we can apparently add a silly ol' bear to that list, as we're hearing that another live-action Winnie the Pooh film is meandering through the production line towards us.

Cats is destined to go down in history as one of Hollywood's most notorious flops. Tom Hooper's bizarre adaptation of the hit musical was critically panned and went on to be a box office disaster that's estimated to have lost Universal Pictures as much as $100m. Since its release the cast have been quietly distancing themselves from the project, with James Corden and Rebel Wilson poking fun at the movie's notoriously wonky VFX during the 2020 Oscar ceremony.

Neil Gaiman Wants Trans Writers To Work On Netflix’s The Sandman
Neil Gaiman is renowned as one of the greatest contemporary fantasy writers. Though primarily known to audiences for American Gods, Doctor Who and Coraline, he made a name for himself with his DC/Vertigo comics series The Sandman. This centered upon The Endless, god-like personifications of various universal concepts. The protagonist is Dream, with his brothers and sisters embodying things like Death, Despair, Destiny, Delirium, Desire and Destruction. The award-winning series ran for 75 issues between 1989 and 1996 and is considered one of the greatest comic runs of all time.

William Shatner Slams Police For Brutally Taking Down Star Wars Cosplayer
May the 4th has become a day in which fans around the world celebrate their love of Star Wars. Though Lucasfilm and Disney chip in with their own events, it's still very much fan-led, with social media seeing an outpouring of fan art, discussions, memes and cosplay based on the characters. But it seems that the Lethbridge Police Department in Alberta, Canada didn't quite get the message.

Sylvester Stallone Teases That Rocky Might Bow Out Of Creed III
Forty-four years on from the release of the first movie, the Rocky franchise is still fighting fit. The venerable boxing series got a major shot in the arm with 2015's critically acclaimed smash hit Creed, which re-centered the action on Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed, son of Apollo. This saw Stallone's Rocky become Adonis' coach and passing on his boxing experience to a new generation. The last installment in the franchise was 2018's Creed II, in which Adonis squared off against the son of Ivan Drago and become heavyweight champion of the world. The film then ended with Rocky telling Adonis that this is "his time."

Lucasfilm Reportedly Wants Harrison Ford To Return For Han And Chewie Star Wars Spinoff
For decades, Harrison Ford was adamant that he was done with Star Wars and Han Solo. The actor famously pushed for him to die in Return of the Jedi, and reportedly only agreed to reprise the role in The Force Awakens if Han would meet his maker in the movie. So, it was something of a surprise when he popped up as a ghost/vision in The Rise of Skywalker, counseling his wayward son Ben.

New MCU Theory Says Iron Man 2 May Have Set Up The Fantastic Four
One of the biggest hurdles Marvel Studios have to clear when introducing the Fantastic Four (and the X-Men) is answering why they haven't already appeared in the MCU. Given the multiple threats to Earth experienced over the last few years, you'd expect Reed Richards to pop up at some point. After all, even if he doesn't yet have his stretchy powers, Richards is still a supergenius who you would imagine would have something to say about the various cosmic invasions taking place on his New York doorstep.

Shang-Chi’s MCU Powers Have Reportedly Been Revealed
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to hit cinemas almost exactly one year from now, on May 7 2021. Like all ongoing productions the movie has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Director Destin Daniel Cretton went into self-isolation in early March, with the production fully shutting down soon after as Disney hit the pause button on all its productions. Hopefully the shoot will continue sooner rather than later, as what we were seeing from the set looked promising.
