Disney Says Rick Moranis Isn’t Returning For Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Reboot
I really miss Rick Moranis. The Ghostbusters, Spaceballs and Little Shop of Horrors star has effectively retired from Hollywood. In 1997 he announced that he was taking a 'hiatus' from the movie industry to raise his children and hasn't returned as "he doesn't really miss" acting. So it was something of a surprise when rumors recently began circulating that Moranis would be returning as oddball scientist Wayne Szalinski for a reboot of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

Obi-Wan Would’ve Reportedly Fought A Legends Villain In Disney Plus Show
Obi-Wan is on hold at the moment while Lucasfilm deal with their script issues. The delay resulted in howls of disapproval from fans and calls for a change of management over Star Wars, pointing to a number of serious errors made over the last few years. But while Obi-Wan was so close to shooting that there was a crew preparing sets, whatever the plans for the show may have been a month ago, they're now up in the air.

Paramount Reveals First Look At Snake Eyes In New G.I. Joe Spinoff
The G.I. Joe franchise has long been the disappointing cousin of Transformers. While the latter has gone on to multiple sequels, spinoffs and a huge total gross at the box office, G.I. Joe has consistently underperformed. Both 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and its sequel, 2013's G.I. Joe: Retaliation made money, but not quite as much as Paramount hoped. As such, the franchise has been on ice for a while. But it's being defrosted this October, in Snake Eyes.

Tony Todd Reportedly Doesn’t Even Appear In The Candyman Reboot
Candyman is due out this summer and has an impressive range of talent behind it. Yayha Abdul-Mateen II stars, Jordan Peele is on script duty and Little Woods' Nia DaCosta is in the director's chair. Right now, we have conflicting reports on whether it'll be a sequel or a full reboot though, as the production was filmed under the code name Say my Name and there was a lot of secrecy on set.

Disney Forces Elementary School To Pay Licensing Fee After Screening The Lion King
You know those warnings you see at the start of DVDs and Blu-rays warning you that the movie is for home use only? Well, it turns out that Disney takes them very seriously. CNN is reporting that Emerson Elementary School in Berkley, California recently screened the 2019 remake of The Lion King as part of a "parent's night out " fundraising event, and Disney wants to get paid. Two months after the event the school received an email from 'Movie Licensing USA' explaining that they'd illegally screened the movie and owed $250:

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker VFX Reel Shows How They Resurrected Carrie Fisher
Eyebrows were raised when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was officially announced and it was revealed that Carrie Fisher would star in the movie. The beloved actress tragically died in late 2016 and while she had completed shooting The Last Jedi, she had not done any work on The Rise of Skywalker. Director J.J. Abrams explained that they were planning to bring her back as sensitively as possible and with the permission and co-operation of Fisher's family.
