Fortnite Player Uses Creative Mode To Remake Pokémon Red
Back in 1998, Pokémon Red and Blue were at the vanguard of a genuine craze. In some playgrounds, all you'd hear was discussion of the best starter, link cable Pokémon battles and gossip over the mysterious MissingNo. Cut to 2019 and the children of those 90s kids are probably talking about Fortnite, the current big craze. So it's a nice symmetry that player FiveWalnut8586 has done an extremely impressive job of recreating Pokémon Red in Fortnite's Creation Mode.

Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass Details Revealed
For an exciting couple of weeks, it appeared that Apex Legends might snatch Fortnite's crown to become king of the lucrative battle royale genre. But we're now six months on from release and Fortnite remains on top. One factor that may have contributed to this was Apex Legends deeply underwhelming Season 1 Battle Pass. Players were expecting a lot from Season 1, only to be met with essentially meaningless rewards and an extremely grindy progression system. But developer Respawn Entertainment has been listening, and they're hopeful that Season 2 will get a more positive reception when it's released on July 2nd:

Lucasfilm Eyeing Dave Bautista For Darth Bane Star Wars Show
Round here we're big Dave Bautista fans. It'd be one thing if he was just a surprisingly great actor, as proven in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and Blade Runner 2049. But he put his career on the line to stand up for his friend James Gunn, which was really nice to see in an industry notoriously full of liars, false friends and backstabbers. All that's why we're hoping that Lucasfilm get their wish and secure his casting as Darth Bane in their latest Star Wars TV project.

Playstation Hits Range Just Added Some Great Horror Games
Sony have announced that they're bolstering their PlayStation Hits range with some truly excellent titles. Of note to horror fans will be the pants-wettingly terrifying Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Friday the 13th: The Game. In addition to those horror titles, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, God of War III Remastered, Nioh, Tales of Berseria and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will also be permanently discounted to $19.99, both on the PlayStation store and physical editions (which can be distinguished by a red 'Playstation Hits banner).

Pinhead To Be Resurrected With Hellraiser TV Series
We have such sights to show you. Or at least we will, when Hellraiser comes to TV. Deadline has just announced that the classic Clive Barker horror property will be adapted as a television show. They're reporting that producers Roy Lee  (IT) and Dan Farah (Ready Player One) have teamed up with rights holders Lawrence Kuppin, David Salzman and Eric Garden in an attempt to make the property the next big thing in horror TV.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Almost Featured A Visit To New Asgard
As promised, Avengers: Endgame shook up the MCU in ways we couldn't have predicted. All the dusted heroes have returned, Falcon is the new Captain America, Tony Stark and Black Widow both heroically sacrificed themselves, and Thor named Valkyrie as the new Ruler of Asgard. With Spider-Man: Far From Home taking place in the immediate aftermath of Endgame, it was inevitable that the movie would have to deal with all this fallout. We already know that we'll see Peter mourning his friend and mentor Tony Stark, as well as the world dealing with the consequences of their dusted loved ones returning, but now it appears we might have explored New Asgard in the wake of Thor's departure with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel Reveals The MCU’s Official Name For Fat Thor
Fat Thor was one of the best things about Avengers: Endgame. His new portly appearance was a closely kept secret right up until release day, with promotional materials featuring his Avengers: Infinity War look and Chris Hemsworth remaining tight-lipped in interviews. His beery despondency and sudden loss of confidence were both touching and hilarious, with Hemsworth clearly relishing the opportunity to play a far more vulnerable Thor than we'd see on screen to date. I also loved that he didn't magically slim down for the climactic battle - remaining 'Fat Thor' even as he hurled himself at Thanos.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Almost Revealed Anthony Mackie’s Captain America
Spider-Man: Far From Home is now days away from release, and will both act as the finale (no kidding this time) to the 23 film Infinity Saga as well as point towards the future of the MCU. We can't wait, but while leaked spoilers indicate that we're in for some surprising twists, it seems there's one thing we won't be getting: the reveal of Anthony Mackie's Captain America. Marvel Studios heads have revealed he was considered for inclusion at the ending of Far From Home, but they decided against it.
