Fans Have Discovered A Chris Redfield Character Model In Resident Evil 2
The Resident Evil franchise has had a lot of heroes over the years, but few are as iconic as former S.T.A.R.S. alpha team point man Chris Redfield. He was the hero (along will Jill Valentine) of the very first game back in 1996 and has since appeared in Code VERONICA and Resident Evils 5-7. One game he's notably not in is Resident Evil 2. Recently remade in stunning fashion by Capcom, Claire Redfield's half of the game involves her searching for clues as to why her brother Chris has disappeared. But that might not be the case in the remake, as dataminers digging through the game's files have found a finished-looking Chris Redfield model.

Epic Games Considering Adding A Respawn Feature To Fortnite
Fortnite has been the king of the battle royale genre pretty much since its release in 2017. It took that crown from PUBG, though now there's a hot new property in town that might yet unseat Epic Games' hit. I'm talking of course about Apex Legends, which in just over two weeks has amassed a huge amount of players, received praise from all sectors of the market and feels like it's set to revitalize a slightly tired genre.

New Detective Pikachu Trailer Coming In Next Two Weeks
Once one of the more head-scratching summer blockbusters of 2019, Detective Pikachu is building up a strong head of hype in advance of its May 10th release. Advance reports suggest that it's gone down unbelievably well in test-screenings, to the point where Legendary Pictures is so confident in the movie that they've begun developing multiple spin-off movies within a 'Detective Pikachu' universe. One cool way that the film has been building hype amongst Pokemon fans is to gradually reveal more and more Pokemon in each trailer - with Lickitung recently driving the internet crazy in the latest TV spot.

Disney Defends Will Smith’s Genie In Aladdin After Brutal Fan Backlash
The majority of Guy Ritchie's Aladdin looks great. The sets look beautiful, the casting is on point and it seems that Ritchie is on course to nail the romantic, fantastical tone of the 1992 Disney classic. But there's one big and blue aspect that's currently in doubt: Will Smith's turn as the Genie. When we got our first look at the movie a few months back fans were suspicious of multiple shots showing Genie in a Will Smith-shaped human form. There was (minor) uproar, with people asking - nay demanding - that the Genie be blue.

DC Universe Finally Finding Success Thanks To Doom Patrol
When DC and Warner Bros. announced their plans for their streaming service DC Universe, I was skeptical. Not only is there an increasing glut of streaming services to keep up with, but their flagship show Titans looked absolutely dreadful in the promotional pictures and embarrassing first trailer. For a while, it looked like my pessimistic predictions were coming true, with industry analysts claiming that the premium network was struggling to pick up subscribers and that it may not be long for this world.

Apex Legends On Track To Become Bigger Than Fortnite
Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends has had a stratospheric rise in popularity since its release just two weeks ago. Over the course of the last little while we've seen a slew of news stories breathlessly reporting on its ballooning player count: first busting through the million mark, then exceeding ten million until it was revealed that just a week after launch, a whopping twenty-five million people had turned up to see what all the fuss is about. This explosion in the number of players has got some wondering whether the game could eventually eclipse Fortnite as the biggest title in the world.

EA’s Cancelled Star Wars Game Was Pretty Far Along Apparently
Over the last few months, the consensus has formed that EA has royally ballsed up their exclusivity deal with the Star Wars franchise. Despite being the only publisher allowed to release AAA games on major consoles and PC, they've only managed two poorly received multiplayer shooters. In the meantime, they've cancelled a number of promising projects, with the biggest loss being Dead Space developer Visceral Games' open world single-player adventure.

Fox Developing R-Rated Alien: Isolation Animated TV Series
It's difficult to believe that H.R. Giger's iconic acid-blooded, double-mouthed, chest-burstin' Xenomorph marks her 40th birthday this year. With the big screen franchise currently on ice after the critical and commercial failure of Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant (which wasn't that bad...), Fox are re-releasing the original Alien into cinemas in a gorgeous new restoration as well as announcing a number of projects based around the universe established in the awesome 2014 game Alien: Isolation.
