Disney/Fox Merger Enters The Endgame, Expected To Close In March
It's looking as though the Disney/Fox merger will soon be complete. Though the two companies have long agreed on a price and what would happen with the Fox IP's, the deal still needed to meet regulatory approval by core territories they operate in. One by one they approved, with caveats that Disney divests themselves of various local channels in order to prevent a monopoly. The last two hold-outs were in Brazil and Mexico - and according to Bloomberg both have now given the go-ahead to the merger.

Keanu Reeves’ Toy Story 4 Character Was Secretly In Incredibles 2
Pixar are notorious for sneaking easter eggs about their upcoming films into their latest releases. For example, there is a boy in Finding Nemo reading a comic about Mr Incredible, you can see the shadow of Dug from Up in Ratatouille and Inside Out contained a statue of Arlo from The Good Dinosaur in a flashback sequence. With that in mind, hardcore Pixar fans often scour the home releases frame by frame to see what they've missed - and now it appears they've discovered that Keanu Reeves' character Duke Caboom from Toy Story 4 is in The Incredibles 2.

Star Trek: Discovery Officially Renewed For Season 3
Star Trek: Discovery has officially been renewed for a third season on CBS. After a first run that was met with mixed reviews and fan reaction, most seem to agree that the show's found its feet with its latest batch of episodes. CBS must agree, too, because after almost universally glowing reviews for the first six installments, they've committed to continuing the winning formula.

Alex Kingston Says She’d Love To Return As River Song In Doctor Who
We last saw Alex Kingston's River Song in the 2015 Doctor Who Christmas special "The Husbands of River Song" alongside Peter Capaldi's twelfth Doctor. At the finale of that installment, it seemed like her time loop had been closed when the Doctor gave her the Sonic Screwdriver she'd used in one of her earliest appearances in "Forest of the Dead." The episode concluded with the Doctor and River Song spending one last romantic night together, with the caveat that a night on the planet they live on lasts 24 years.

New Detective Pikachu Poster Secretly Reveals First Look At Mewtwo
Detective Pikachu is slowly building up hype as its release gets ever closer. Once a bit of an eyebrow-raiser due to casting Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu and having a faintly surreal sounding plot, the film has tested so well that Legendary's already developing spinoffs in this new cinematic universe. Hardcore fans have also been kept happy through a very smart marketing campaign that has gradually revealed the movie's takes on their favorite Pokémon.

Warner Bros. Developing New Constantine TV Show Starring Matt Ryan
It seems that you just can't keep John Constantine down. Back in 2015 NBC announced that they weren't going to renew the show for a second season. Fans were dismayed, immediately launching a campaign to save the show. Warner Bros seemed similarly eager to keep it going, attempting to get another network to pick up. Both the fan and studio efforts failed, leading producer Daniel Cerone to comment:
