Aside from the occasional invasion by the Borgs, Romulans, Cardassians or warring Klingons, Star Trek's vision of life in the 23rd and 24th centuries is pretty sweet. As Jean-Luc Picard put it in The Next Generation: "A lot has changed in three hundred years. People are no longer obsessed with the accumulation of things. We have eliminated hunger, want, the need for possessions. We have grown out of our infancy."

LeVar Burton Shares More Star Trek: The Next Generation Reunion Photos
There's a hell of a lot going on in Star Trek right now. Series 2 of Star Trek: Discovery is about to air, the next movie in the Kelvinverse is being developed (so long as they can work out Chris Pine and Liam Hemsworth's pay), Quentin Tarantino is hoping to direct his own Trek movie and, in an awesomely unexpected move, Patrick Stewart is going to reprise the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a new TV show. With all that going on, it's the perfect time look back and smell the roses, as (most of) The Next Generation cast did on this reunion dinner over the weekend.

Rian Johnson Reveals The Clone Wars Arc That Influenced Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The Star Wars animated TV shows have more than proven their worth. After a slightly wobbly start, The Clone Wars quickly found its audience and created at least one all-time great character in Ashoka Tano, Rebels recently ended to critical acclaim and Solo directly tied it into the cinematic continuity, and the upcoming Resistance boasts an all-star cast and promises to flesh out the period in between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. With all that in mind, it's no surprise that Rian Johnson was rewatching some of the franchise's most controversial television episodes while writing The Last Jedi.

Superman is headed to Velen. Yup, Henry Cavill's officially been cast as the cat-eyed, monster-slaying, lady-killer Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher. Based on the bestselling books by Polish author Andrezj Sapkowski and influenced by the hugely successful video game series created by CD Projekt Red, Cavill will be playing a mutant monster hunter drifting from town to town dealing with slavering abominations, political machinations and manipulative (and generally very bosomy) Sorceresses.

Tom Holland Apologizes To His Mom Before Buying A Motorcycle
Tom Holland's put in the hard work to bring the MCU's Spider-Man to life, with many considering his portrayal of the web-slinger the finest to date (I'm still partial to a bit of Tobey Maguire, but Holland's great). Now, having won the approval of fans worldwide (and broken their hearts with his touching death at the end of Infinity War), he's entitled to a bit of a reward, which is why he's buying himself a motorcycle. And, if it has a full tank of gas, it'll definitely take him far from home (pun fully intended).

God Of War Director Has An Interesting Idea For A Superman Game
Poor Superman. While Batman gets the Arkham series of critically acclaimed video games and Spider-Man's new title is one of the most hotly anticipated Fall releases, he's still primarily known for Superman 64 - one of the most famously terrible games of all time. While that's the nadir, ol' Supes has never had a game that properly captured the essence of what it's like to be the Man of Steel. The common argument is that accurately representing Superman in a game would make for an overly powerful player character. After all, he's invincible, super strong, can fly at supersonic speeds, has laser and X-ray vision. Just how do you construct a compelling, challenging game around someone like that?
