With filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 scheduled for early 2019, and with the surprise firing of James Gunn for tasteless jokes made on Twitter a decade ago, the stars of the movie have begun to slowly put pressure on Marvel to reinstate him by showing solidarity on social media.

Mark Hamill Welcomes Billy Dee Williams To Star Wars: Episode IX
The shoot for Star Wars: Episode IX is due to kick off on the 1st of August at Pinewood, and Lucasfilm got everyone hyped up last night with a full cast rundown. One of the nicest surprises was confirmation that not only will Mark Hamill be making an appearance as Luke Skywalker (presumably in Force ghost form), but that he'll be joined by Billy Dee Williams reprising his role as Lando Calrissian. The return of the original Lando wasn't exactly a big secret mind you, with most assuming he was going to be back in those fetching space capes, but it was still nice to have it in writing.

Kevin Smith Thinks It’s Time For A Batman Movie To Do Mr. Freeze Justice
Kevin Smith's track record with Batman is a little spotty. In 2009 he began the miniseries Batman: The Widening Gyre, which was panned by fans and featured a scene in which Batman pissed himself. However, he's redeemed himself a little today with his spot-on comments that there really should be a Batman movie that does Mr Freeze justice. He was asked which villain he'd most like to see realised on screen during a live taping of his podcast Fatman on Batman and said:

Lucasfilm Announces The Entire Cast For Star Wars: Episode IX
While the main story here is obviously the surprise announcement that Carrie Fisher will return as Leia Organa in Star Wars: Episode IX via unused footage from The Force Awakens, the rest of the Episode IX announcement also contains a number of interesting additions. Naturally we're going to see Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd returning to their roles, but two fascinating additions to the cast are Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant, together with the confirmation that Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels will be appearing in the movie, together with the return of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian.

Lucasfilm Confirms That Leia Will Return In Star Wars: Episode IX
Now this is a surprise. Ever since the tragic death of Carrie Fisher, fans have assumed that Episode IX would have to be rewritten in order to kill off General Leia between films. There were rumblings at the time of whether they could create a CGI Leia in the style of Peter Cushing in Rogue One, but they were dismissed as being a bit tasteless - and the idea of recasting the role frankly seems blasphemous given how closely Fisher was associated with it.

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies’ Post-Credits Scene Will Make Fans Happy
Teen Titans and its successor Teen Titans GO! are perhaps the most fun, lighthearted and enjoyable superhero cartoons on TV, so it's always seemed a little peculiar to me that the show's fanbase is one of the most aggressively vicious and potentially violent out there. Pretty much all of this anger arises from the original Teen Titans, which was lighthearted but essentially in the same vein as the Diniverse animated shows.
