Ghostbusters Director Ivan Reitman Lays Out His Plans For The Future Of The Franchise
It's safe to say that last year's Ghostbusters reboot/remake/reimagining didn't exactly set the world on fire. Opinions vary as to the reason for its relative failure, with many arguments being made that the innate misogyny of mainstream audiences kept people away from a female-led blockbuster. My theory is the film simply wasn't very good and squandered the talents of its impressive cast.

The Exorcist Is Returning For Another Season, But Geena Davis Isn’t
FOX had an unexpected hit on their hands with the first season of The Exorcist, picking up a smattering of positive critical notices and decent ratings. So, it's no surprise that they renewed it for a second season. The show is a loose sequel to the 1973 William Friedkin movie classic, following a trio of Exorcist priests, with the first season exploring what happened to formerly possessed puker Regan MacNeil over the last forty or so years.

Ryan Reynolds Takes on Samuel L. Jackson In Red Band Trailer For The Hitman’s Bodyguard
Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are both extremely charismatic performers, and in The Hitman's Bodyguard they're set to square off against one another in what looks to be a bloody action comedy. The conceit, as spelt out in this second trailer, is that Reynolds is playing Michael Bryce, a special protection agent responsible for ensuring his clients don't get blown up, shot, decapitated or poisoned. But now he's facing the trickiest job of his career in protecting Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), a hitman on his way to the International Court of Justice to testify against a bloodthirsty dictator.

Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman Is The Complete Product And Has No Deleted Scenes
The DCEU has become known for its extended cuts released later on Blu-ray and DVD, with fans often making convincing arguments that the additional scenes edited into the home releases of films like Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad go some way towards rescuing their reputations. But, it looks like DC's latest effort, Wonder Woman won't be getting that same treatment for the simple reason that there literally isn't anything left on the cutting room floor to splice back in.

Adam Driver Was A Bit Of A Grouch On The Set Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Kylo Ren is understandably a little miffed right now. Not only is he recovering from killing his dad, but he got beaten in a lightsaber duel by a complete beginner and the pride and joy of the First Order, Starkiller Base, was blown to smithereens. But, that doesn't quite explain why Adam Driver sounds like he's being a bit of a moody so and so on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Tyler Perry Fans Are In For A Scream With Boo 2! A Madea Halloween
Tyler Perry and his Madea films look like a bit of a paradox: they're reliably profitable and popular amongst his fans, despite all of them being met with a universally negative critical onslaught. I personally wouldn't know what they're like because they don't bother to release Tyler Perry movies internationally. From my London perch, I've so far lived a Madea-free life and thus have absolutely no idea what she does or even is. Still, it's come to my attention that Boo 2! A Madea Halloween is now a thing - because people were desperately calling for a sequel, right? - and will be making its way into theatres later this year.

Are Rick And Negan Really All That Different? The Walking Dead Showrunner Doesn’t Think So
The line between hero and villain is often blurred in fiction, but particularly so in The Walking Dead, where conventional morality has been set aside in the face of a zombie apocalypse. Even so, it's not too hard to conclude that Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan falls pretty firmly on the side of evil, being as he's a sadistic, manipulative, brutal sociopathic cult leader with a penchant for bashing people's heads in with "Lucille," his pet baseball bat.

Everyone loves the Grinch, right? Dr. Seuss' 1957 children's book How the Grinch Stole Christmas, famously adapted into a 1966 animated film, is a stone cold holiday classic. Even the 2000 live-action adaptation starring Jim Carrey as the green grouch has aged surprisingly well, and is a strikingly strange and ambitious holiday movie. But, we've had 17 Grinchless years since, so Universal has decided to remedy that with The Grinch.
