It Turns Out That Baywatch Is Terrible, So It’s Obviously Getting A Sequel
Reed Tucker at the New York Post said "it washes up on the beach like a dead whale." Katie Walsh at the Tribune News Service accused it of being "directed incompetently" and our own Matt Donato labelled it "bloated to a point where no push-ups or dietary restrictions can help." Currently sitting pretty at 19% on Rotten Tomatoes, it looks as though Seth Gordon's Baywatch is a cinematic shit sandwich (though sadly, it's likely to be an extremely profitable shit sandwich).

Stylish Fan Poster For The Punisher Features Lots Of Guns
The Punisher has had a rough path when it comes to screen adaptations. 1989's stab at the character starred Dolph Lundgren as Frank Castle and, while not bad by cheeseball 80s action standards, didn't have much in common with the Marvel comic (Lundgren didn't even wear a skull T-shirt!). Thomas Jane's 2004 effort honestly wasn't that much better, committing the fatal crime of just being a bit dull, while Lexi Alexander's Punisher: War Zone is secretly amazing, though next to no one went to see it - so that was another dead end. But now Netflix are having a go at it with The Punisher.

The battle against Loki's Chitauri army in and above New York City at the climax of The Avengers has had an impact all over the MCU. We've seen characters seeking revenge for family members crushed by rubble in Jessica Jones and Hell's Kitchen struggling to recover and rebuild in Daredevil, not to mention the psychological consequences for Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. Now, it seems that the consequences of this battle will continue to hit home in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Watch The Striking Opening Minutes Of Daniel Espinosa’s Life
Did you see Life when it was released in cinemas back in March? I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't, as it dramatically flopped, pulling in a meagre $30 million domestic on a $58 million budget. At the time, the film was widely criticized as being a blatant Alien ripoff and, with Alien: Covenant on the way, audiences seem to have figured they may as well wait for the real deal.

New Mutants looks like it could have the potential to shine a light on some unusual corners of the X-Men universe. As it moves towards production Fox and director Josh Boone are finalizing the casting of their gang of young mutants and they've picked an impressive array of young acting talent. So far we've had strong rumors that 13 Reasons Why star Henry Zaga is to be playing Sunspot, that Game of Thrones alumnus Maisie Williams will be playing Wolfsbane and, just today, we got confirmation that Rosario Dawson will be playing Dr Cecilia Reyes.

Sam Raimi Came Very Close To Directing A “Wacky” Version Of The Fly II
David Cronenberg's The Fly is an all-time horror classic and might just be the finest body horror film ever made. Even three decades after it was released, its gross practical special effects still astonish, as does Jeff Goldbum's twitchily committed performance as the unfortunate Seth Brundle. Despite its firm place in the cinematic canon, however, few recall its sequel, The Fly II.
