Avengers: Infinity War looks as if it's going to be one of the biggest narrative plate-spinning exercises in blockbuster history. Intended to tie together the entirety of the cinematic side of the MCU (though it'll no doubt impact upon the TV shows, too), the film will have to juggle the conclusions of the various Avengers' plotlines, but also squeeze in an appearance from every member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, not to mention properly introducing Josh Brolin's villainous Thanos after so much build-up.

Rosario Dawson Really Wants To Play Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano

Now, Kurt Sutter is heading back to the universe with Mayans MC, which deals with the Mayans Motorcycle Club. The Mayans were variously allied and opposed to the Reapers gang in the original show and were an interesting south of the border contrast to the California setting.

Fantastic Beasts 2 Casting Continues: Meet Newt Scamander’s Brother
Pre-production on the upcoming sequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2, continues at a steady pace today. We've already had it confirmed that J.K. Rowling has finished her work on the script and delivered to it returning director David Yates, and we've learned that they've snapped up Jude Law to play the young (well, younger) Albus Dumbledore. Now, another actor has joined the cast: Green Room star Callum Turner (also seen in Victor Frankenstein and Assassin's Creed).

Spidey’s Goin’ Down The Tubes In This New Homecoming Promo Shot
Yesterday, we saw Spider-Man making a break from high school and today, we get to see him hanging out in the back of a truck, presumably needing to get somewhere quicker than his webshooters will allow him to swing. At first glance, it seems a strange choice of Spider-Man: Homecoming promo shot, considering that previous ones have seen him in all kinds of dynamic poses. But look a little closer and we can see all sorts of little details that make this image worthwhile.

Miley Cyrus Confirmed To Have A Role In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
As far as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 casting decisions go, this one's a banger. The former Hannah Montana, now twerk-happy, perpetually stoned, Flaming Lips collaborator, Miley Cyrus, has been confirmed to make an appearance in the oncoming blockbuster. It's an eyebrow-raiser, to be sure, but this is James Gunn's style, and he's always talked about cameos in the franchise, with none other than David Bowie being considered at one point (his untimely death put the kibosh on that).

BB-8 Is The Last Jedi’s Buster Keaton, According To Rian Johnson
Everyone loves BB-8, right? It was always a tall order to fill in for legendary bleeping trash can R2-D2, but his symbolic progeny won the hearts of audiences from the second we saw him roll into action in the first trailer for The Force Awakens, and his many funny (and extremely gif-able) moments in the final film went a long way to capturing that classic Star Wars aura.
