How on earth do you follow a film as iconic and generally amazing as Ridley Scott's Blade Runner? We're about to find out, as Denis Villeneuve's hotly anticipated sequel, Blade Runner 2049 is now just under a month away from release.
Nestled up close to that excellent Thor: Ragnarok poster is a beautiful one sheet for Black Panther. Marvel Studios seem to be putting as much emphasis on the kingdom of Wakanda as they are the eponymous superhero, showing him striking a classically superheroic pose as he surveys his lands from on top of a giant... uh, black panther.
For a while, it seemed like literally every actor in Hollywood was all set to play Cable in the upcoming Deadpool 2. First we heard it might be Stephen Lang, then perhaps Kyle Chandler. Michael Shannon also looked like a lock for a bit and then, in an unlikely twist, Brad Pitt became the frontrunner to play the grizzled half-machine time traveller. When Josh Brolin was finally confirmed in the role then, it almost seemed like an anticlimax.
Ben Affleck has tried put an end to the speculation that his days as Batman are over. Speaking at the Warner Bros. panel earlier this afternoon at San Diego's Comic-Con, where a brand new Justice League trailer debuted, he explained:
We haven't heard from the DCEU Flash solo movie in some time and, given its notorious rotating door of rumoured directors, this isn't exactly surprising. But now, the studio is looking to put all that behind them and wipe the slate clean with an adaptation of the 2011 DC Comics event Flashpoint, which will also be the movie's new title.
Yesterday's new trailer for The Defenders seriously rocked. However, it seems like Netflix are eager to keep the hype burning white hot, as they've now released a new clip from the upcoming series. It shows Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra having a polite chat with Wai Ching Ho's Madame Gao on a bench in Central Park.
One of the most eagerly anticipated trailers that's going to come from San Diego Comic-Con has got to be Thor: Ragnarok. Everything we've seen so far has knocked our socks off and we see no reason why that trend won't continue. But, to whet our appetite until later tonight, we've got this seriously cool new one sheet - which you can check out down below.
Rick Grimes has seen some serious shit over the course of The Walking Dead, in both the comics and TV show. He's at an especially low point in the former right now what with dealing with the death of his wife, his faltering leadership skills and his community disintegrating. Plus there's the hand thing. But through all this, Rick Grimes soldiers on, apparently the only character immune to the series' motto of "no one is safe."
Even by HBO's lofty standards Westworld was a huge success. Within a couple of episodes, audiences were hooked, with fan theories dotting up all over the internet and that fabled water cooler discussion going on all around the country. That success paid off in the form of sky-high ratings and an impressive 22 nominations at the Emmy awards.
Ryan Murphy, aka the the busiest man in television, spent last night on Twitter doling out some tantalizing details about the seventh series of American Horror Story, now officially titled American Horror Story: Cult. You can check out the spine-tingling teaser above, but it seems like the story will centre around some kind of sinister anarchist cult. This isn't just any cult, though... it's a cult...of CLOWNS!
