If you'd have told me five years ago that Marvel Z-listers the Guardians of the Galaxy would end up undisputed kings of the summer box office, I'd have accused you of pulling my leg. But hey, here we are in 2017, where Donald J. Trump is President and America is going absolutely nuts for a loveable tree and his ferocious raccoon buddy. How nuts? Well, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 took in $17m last night, scoring the most lucrative Thursday of 2017 thus far.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle Isn’t Even Out Yet And Matthew Vaughn’s Already Planning The Next One
Kingsman: The Golden Circle isn't released until the fall, but director Matthew Vaughn and Fox are so confident that its destined to be a smash hit that they're already planning a second sequel. The director dropped the news at a Fox premiere event in London where he screened the first act of The Golden Circle (apparently it was amazing) and stayed around afterwards to chat about his plans for the franchise.

Transformers: The Last Knight To Be Released Two Days Earlier Than Planned
After four films of watching angry metal men tear each other's faces off while everything conceivable explodes around them, it's safe to say that we know what to expect from Transformers: The Last Knight. Now, however, it seems those expectations will be confirmed sooner than expected, as Paramount has brought forward its release date by two days. Originally slated to release June 23rd, it will now see cinemas on June 21st.

Has Warner Bros. Already Written Off Wonder Woman?
Wonder Woman fans have been waiting for decades to see the most famous superheroine in the world get a solo movie of her own and now, with the release just five weeks away, people are nervous that Warner Bros. is dropping the ball when it comes to marketing the film. Truth be told, it initially seems like a fair criticism. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 saw a plethora of trailers and numerous TV spots in the run-up to its release, with Justice League and Thor: Ragnarok garnering a huge amount of attention as well, despite their release dates being months away. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, not so much.
