Last week, reports of Henry Cavill possibly vacating his role as Superman lit the internet ablaze, and have remained a hot topic for discussion in the geek community. Though none of us are necessarily expecting a Justice League 2 anytime soon, the loss of an actor who's portrayed such an iconic character for three films would deal quite a blow to a shared universe - even if it's supposedly getting less connected as time passes.
In its previous seasons, The Flash has played host to some rather memorable overarching villains. Already, we've become acquainted with formidable foes such as the Reverse-Flash, Zoom, Savitar and the Thinker. But soon enough, we'll welcome the next major threat to Central City, that being Cicada.
Despite the upcoming Venom movie seemingly having no connection with Spider-Man, I think it's best that fans take a chill pill before continuing their incessant complaining. Really, after witnessing one badass trailer after another, I pose the following question: Have you ever stopped to consider that it just might be a good film?
Despite reports of Henry Cavill possibly ending his run as Superman being about a week old now, that doesn't mean the geek community has stopped reeling. Think about it: if indeed he's out as the Man of Steel, then big, big changes are undoubtedly ahead for DC films.
Though David Gordon Green may have served as director on the new Halloween movie, fans of the series have been quite jazzed over how John Carpenter has been more hands on with this installment than any other in the franchise in some time. Not only that, but Nick Castle, one of the men who donned the mask in the 1978 original, came back to shoot some scenes for the much talked about sequel. Granted, James Jude Courtney portrays Michael Myers for most of the picture, but have to admit Castle's brief return is pretty cool nonetheless.
Throughout the course of six seasons, Arrow has played host to some pretty crazy cliffhangers. And though we could debate for hours which among them were the best, you have to admit that what we witnessed back in May has to be near the top of the list.
Even if you're familiar with the rift between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson by way of comic books and/or animation, there's still a very good chance you were taken aback by the latter's now infamous "f--k Batman" line witnessed in the first trailer promoting the upcoming live action Titans series. To some, it felt like a deliberate attempt to be edgy, though I'll still go in with an open mind.
In the past few weeks, we've received a generous amount of goodies pertaining to the upcoming season of Supergirl. Among other things, The CW have been kind enough to let loose a new trailer, preview images from the premiere episode, and even a gorgeous new poster that could very well serve as the cover to a future Blu-ray set.
With Oliver Queen now being locked up and apparently engaging in nude prison fights, the other members of Team Arrow will obviously have to occupy their time somehow.
Though Wolverine may have technically returned to the Marvel Universe last fall, he’s decided to stick to the shadows for the most part, appearing in various “post-credits” scenes in select comic books along the way. But after recently learning that Logan will once again be headlining his own series before long, we naturally assumed it to be an ongoing title.
