Late last night, we heard that some news pertaining to The Batman would drop today, and though we may be waiting for the official word from Warner Bros., Revenge of the Fans has managed to dig up some dirt in the process. Please keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed at this point, but what we're about to discuss sounds more than plausible.
After witnessing Dominators bombarding Earth in "Invasion!" and Nazi doppelgangers crashing Barry Allen and Iris West's wedding in "Crisis on Earth-X," one can only ponder how the next Arrowverse crossover can possibly go bigger than those two events. Plus, there's also the fact that Legends of Tomorrow will sit out this year's outing, as Supergirl, Arrow and The Flash will be the only DC TV shows invited to the party.
Though we recently learned that Warner Bros. have no intention of ever releasing Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League, fingers remain crossed that someone at the top will one day change their mind, similar to how Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut saw the light of day long after Richard Lester's version hit theaters.
Right now, not much is known about Supernatural's fourteenth season other than it'll pick up with Apocalypse World's Michael piloting Dean Winchester's body, the series' 300th episode will be included, and maybe a few other minor details. Oh yeah, it'll consist of only 20 episodes, too, but that's not much less than we normally receive.
Though The Flash‘s fourth season did a fine job of tying up the Thinker’s arc, there were still some threads left dangling after May’s finale. And no, we’re not talking about what’s to come with Nora Allen-West, but rather, the developing situation involving Caitlin Snow.
Whenever I think I can't be any more hyped for another season of Arrow, a trailer such as the one screened over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con drops. I say that because, aside from seeing Oliver Queen adjust to life behind bars, we now have someone else running running around Star City in full Green Arrow regalia - and I really do believe it's Roy Harper.
Though Bruce Wayne has yet to become Batman in the universe established by Gotham, we know by now that he'll indeed suit up sometime before the series wraps in 2019. Whether David Mazouz will don cape and cowl or a stuntman gets the honor via an epilogue/time jump remains to be seen, but at least the show will receive a proper sendoff.
Though I didn't detest 2011's Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds as some others may have, I found that it ultimately fell short of what animated offerings such as First Flight and Emerald Knights achieved. That said, I remain optimistic for the long-gestating Green Lantern Corps.
Of the several DC TV trailers to have debuted at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, I firmly believe that the one hyping the seventh season of Arrow had to be among the most impressive. Like me, I'm sure many of you were taken aback when seeing Oliver Queen reacquainting himself with some familiar villains in the clink, not to mention someone else running around Star City masquerading as the Emerald Archer. Again, I'm saying it's probably Roy Harper, but let's save that conversation for another day, shall we?
After witnessing the likes of Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Beware the Batman being granted Blu-ray releases, fans have probably wondered what's been the holdup when it comes to Batman: The Animated Series getting the same treatment. Granted, those other shows are more recent and require less in the way of remastering, but that doesn't change the fact that many of us have been waiting impatiently for such a thing to happen.
