To say that the past few months have been a trying time for Team Arrow is quite the understatement. I mean, Oliver Queen was able to get by when Mr. Terrific, Black Canary and Wild Dog decided to go off and do their own thing, but the exit of Thea compounded with John Diggle’s decision to sign up with ARGUS was almost too much for the Emerald Archer to take. For a brief period, he went back to basics, but it appears we're ready to return to the status quo now that he's been acquitted of all charges.
Seeing as how the Joker is my favorite supervillain, the wait between episodes of Gotham has been quite taxing on me as of late. Not only has this series' take on his origin been engaging and something all its own, but I've come to appreciate how the writers throw a curveball at us just when we think we have everything figured out.
Ever since Mehcad Brooks was originally cast as James "Jimmy" Olsen for Supergirl, I and others couldn't help but notice he didn't quite have the nerdy appearance we've come to know from the character. In fact, I maintained from the beginning that he looked much more like a superhero.
I don’t know what’s been up with Zack Snyder as of late, but the guy sure has been enjoying sharing all kinds of interesting trivia pertaining to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in recent memory. Sometimes, he may provide answers regarding things that have puzzled moviegoers for the past couple years, or he may declassify some cool pictures. Either way, he’s doing a fine job of keeping DC fans engaged.
Although Arrow did its best Law & Order impression last night, that didn't mean it wasn't a nail-biter of the highest order. In fact, it had many twists and turns to be enjoyed, in addition to Ricardo Diaz learning that he can't win in every situation.
Although Gotham sure has had a lot to offer as of late, it's hard for one not to take their eyes off the unfolding situation involving Jeremiah Valeska. After all, the Joker is arguably the most popular of all Batman villains, so a new take on his origin is bound to turn more than a few heads, right?
From the beginning, you've been presented with a choice: Either you accept Gotham for all the changes it's made to the Batman mythos or you don't. Personally, I've grown to embrace it because I've found the show to be highly addictive.
Although it ended up coming as somewhat of a shock when it finally happened, a good amount of us must admit that we saw Marlize DeVoe's betrayal of her husband, Clifford, coming. After all, we'd gotten inklings she was ready to jump ship on previous episodes of The Flash, and his fanatical behavior this past week gave her the last amount of incentive required. Granted, she swallowed his B.S. for years, but there eventually comes the straw that breaks the camel's back.
As you may have heard, the House of Ideas’ next major crossover event will come in the form of Infinity Wars, which is set to launch this summer. Boasting headliners such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Thanos and Loki, this limited series is sure to feel both otherworldly and cosmic.
