Something Marvel has done particularly well in 2017 is promoting its line of books via dynamic multimedia content, in this case, through music videos. Not surprisingly, their latest offering aims to hype their currently ongoing crossover event series, Monsters Unleashed.
Over the past 25 years, many diehard fans have repeatedly said that the true voices of Batman and the Joker belong to Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, respectively. Having started off in Batman: The Animated Series, both men have gone on to reprise their roles in various forms of media, be they direct-to-video animated films such as Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Batman: The Killing Joke or one of the hit video games in the Arkham franchise. Written by rising star Steve Orlando and illustrated by the incomparable Ivan Reis, this title sells itself by collecting one of the most eclectic lineups to ever make up a super group: Batman, Lobo, Black Canary, Vixen, the Atom, the Ray and Killer Frost.
Without a doubt, Scott Snyder has made quite the name for himself over the course of the past seven years, arguably becoming one of the most lauded writers to touch the Dark Knight in history. With his highly acclaimed run with artist Greg Capullo now behind him, he’s been hard at work crafting his own Long Halloween of sorts in the form of All-Star Batman.
In addition to recently revealing some striking new covers for X-Men Gold, the House of Ideas is offering yet another glimpse into the future when it comes to that family of books, specifically Jean Grey. Although she was one of the first mutants to appear in the Marvel Universe, she has never had her own solo series, as hard as that may be to believe.
With the voice cast having been revealed several weeks ago and the Blu-ray release of Justice League Dark now behind us (be sure to check out our review), it comes as no surprise that Warner Home Video wasted little time in releasing a trailer for the next DC animated film, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.
