Despite Legends of Tomorrow not conducting a San Diego Comic-Con panel of its own this past weekend, there is some news to share regarding the series. Sure, it may not commence its fifth season until early 2020, but production is already underway. That said, complete radio silence is virtually impossible.
To the excitement of many viewers, it was recently revealed that, yes, Oliver Queen will don a new costume for Arrow's eighth and final season. Granted, the one he'd been wearing since season 5 was mighty badass, but it was time for a change.
If you're a longtime fan of DC across multiple forms of media, then you're aware of how red tape separating each division of Warner Bros. can sometimes limit which characters can be utilized in a given production. These days, they're a bit more liberal, but I can remember when The Batman animated series couldn't use Two-Face, Ra's al Ghul or Scarecrow, lest viewers confuse them with the versions existing in Christopher Nolan's films!
The more we learn about the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event, the cooler it looks to be. In case you hadn't heard, this past weekend brought news confirming that not only is LaMonica Garrett playing the villainous Anti-Monitor, but also that Brandon Routh will suit up as Kingdom Come Superman.
Despite lead actress Ruby Rose having to pull out of her San Diego Comic-Con appearance, the highly anticipated Batwoman series was still well-represented. Like other Arrowverse shows, the newest addition to the lineup was welcomed by fans with open arms at its very own panel.
As was to be expected, some news pertaining to "Crisis on Infinite Earths" has come out of San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to learning that Brandon Routh will suit up as Kingdom Come Superman for the crossover event, we received confirmation on Jon Cryer continuing his awesome portrayal of Lex Luthor come this fall.
If any fanbase has proven the squeaky wheel gets the grease, it's most certainly the one belonging to Young Justice. Had they not endlessly petitioned, watched previous episodes on Netflix, or purchased the video game, then Cartoon Network's cancellation would've stuck. Instead, the beloved animated series was given a 26-episode renewal for a third season on the DC Universe streaming service.
With Titans set to kickoff its second season on September 6th, DC fans have been anxiously waiting to learn Doom Patrol's fate. And who could blame them? In my initial review of the series' first few episodes, I awarded it a perfect score - and if I were tasked with critiquing all fifteen episodes total, I'd still throw five stars its way.
For the past few months, we've all been speculating who could be the big bad in The Flash's sixth season. Our two main suspects were the Red Death and a new version of Mirror Master because subtle hints were given in season 5, though it appears we'll have to wait longer for either of those fellas to show up. Godspeed would've been another fine guess, but his return may be limited to only one episode.
With all the trailers coming out of San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, I'm sure there's a good chance you could be refreshing your browser looking for something pertaining to Titans' second season. At the moment, we can't present to you that specific preview, but we do have a nice consolation prize in the meantime.
