As production for the third season of Gotham goes into full swing, casting news is once again the talk of the town. The latest tidbit has already sparked much discussion as the iconic character of Poison Ivy has been recast as Maggie Geha (Ted 2, The Rewrite) will take over for Claire Foley.
Not long after The Flash concluded its second season, many took to social media saying the shocking finale hit them in what the kids are calling "the feels" these days. I too was surprised to see the show's producers make the choice they did, at least at first, but when you have access to a veritable treasure trove when it comes to source material, why not take advantage?
It's safe to say that Supergirl will make a tremendous impact on The CW's primetime lineup, which is already heavily populated with superheroes, when the Man of Steel himself joins the action for the first two episodes of the second season. Sure, we may have received some glimpses of Superman's silhouette or seen his boots at points during the first season, but that's just not quite the same as seeing one of the most recognizable pop culture icons in all of their glory.
Having recently wrapped principal photography, the long overdue solo debut of Wonder Woman on the big screen has been on the minds of many a fan as of late and speculation will continue to snowball as next summer's release inches ever closer. And, according to spoiler king Mike Ausiello, some major additions are indeed on the way for both shows.
Regardless of how I or anyone else felt about the fourth season of Arrow, the time has come to look forward to its fifth and hope for the best. The cast has been mostly coy about what's to come and hint the show will return to form.
Although the recently concluded second season of Gotham may still be fresh in our collective memory, it's not too soon for us to look ahead to its third - and apparently the show's cast agrees.
It's probably safe to say that the final handful of episodes of this past season of Supernatural left fans reeling and discussing what's to come as they suffer through the summer hiatus. In many ways Season 11 felt like a spiritual sequel to Season 5, largely due to the return of characters such as Chuck/God and Lucifer. And for those wanting to revisit the season, on September 6 you can relive all 23 episodes on either Blu-Ray or DVD.
While the fourth season of Arrow proved to be highly divisive among fans, it's probably safe to say that many will still want it to adorn their shelves. And for those who do, you'll be glad to know that on August 30, you can bring home Oliver Queen's latest adventures on either Blu-Ray or DVD.
