To say that the internet was set ablaze following the reported casting of Robert Pattinson as Batman is an understatement. Though some are willing to give him a fair shot, many others fail to realize he's been in films other than Twilight. Rest assured, the guy is a professional actor and could probably pull it off. Still, knee-jerk reactions may be premature because he's yet to be confirmed by the studio.
Even though it shifted the series' paradigm for a number of years by opening the floodgates to two subsequent followups that missed the mark in my view, Resident Evil 4 will forever occupy a special place in my heart. It may have wildly differentiated from its predecessors, sure, but it still retained properties intrinsic to what makes a Resident Evil game while also exploring new territory. Again, it was RE 5 and 6 that went off the rails.
Long before any sort of justice had ever dawned, Freddy vs. Jason debuted in cinemas to what may be remembered as the first notable crossover between two major film franchises. Since then, we’ve received a couple Alien vs. Predator movies, the second of which performed so poorly that Fox split them back into their own separate entities, and to a much, much lesser extent, Lake Placid vs. Anaconda.
When a series such as Arrow has aired for a number of years, emotions are bound to run high once it comes to an end. Actually, viewers have already had to fight back tears, as longtime regular Emily Bett Rickards recently said goodbye to her character, Felicity Smoak. Suffice it to say, the upcoming series finale is sure to hit us all harder then we'd expect.
Over the years, there have been many men to have played the iconic role of Michael Myers in the Halloween franchise. But what you may not know is that very few of them have done it more than once. Tyler Mane may be the most obvious because he'd previously made a name for himself as a pro wrestler and as Sabretooth in the first X-Men flick before playing the villain in both of Rob Zombie's contributions to the brand.
These days, we're used to seeing Brandon Routh inhabiting the role of Ray Palmer AKA the Atom on Legends of Tomorrow each week, but it's arguable that Superman is the character which springs to mind first whenever his name is mentioned. After all, he's part of a very exclusive club because there aren't many actors living or dead who can say they've played the Man of Steel.
With Arrow being set to end its impressive run later this year, I'm sure many fans are wondering what Stephen Amell will do following the eighth and final season. Actually, I'm pretty certain he remains determined to take a long vacation, but he's got to get back to acting at some point.
One reason among many as to why I preferred Avengers: Endgame to Infinity War was that the screenplay wasn't as nearly overcrowded with characters from around the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By paring the story down to the essential players, the narrative had ample room to breathe - though the cavalry still arrived in full effect during the climactic battle with Thanos. That, however, was something I was perfectly okay with because it made for quite the visual spectacle.
After spending seven seasons on Arrow, Emily Bett Rickards finally said goodbye to her character, Felicity Smoak, in last week's finale. As was to be expected, this took quite the emotional toll on the fanbase, but nothing lasts forever. To be honest, I'm still quite shocked that she didn't stick around for the eighth and final season.
Now that Legends of Tomorrow's fourth season is nearly at its end, I think we can all agree that the show is more insane than ever before. Last season, it became obvious how the producers wanted to have more fun with the series and further differentiate it from the rest of the Arrowverse. And now, the firm establishment of magical creatures' existence has opened up a new level of zaniness.
