Once Arrow fans had a chance to digest the official synopsis for the season finale, none of us could help pondering which returning familiar faces it was referring to. Whether your suspicions be directed toward Talia al Ghul, Ricardo Diaz or Curtis Holt, these are all entirely valid choices, but some recently presented evidence may hint at who one of them may be.
By now, I'm expecting that pretty much anybody reading this article has seen Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, it may also be safe to assume that you're well aware of the film's enormous success. In its debut weekend alone, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's season finale of sorts raked in $356 million domestically, with the worldwide gross being an impressive $1.2 billion.
Expansive as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has proven to be, there have been some glaring omissions to its pantheon. For the most part, that's been due to various characters residing at other studios, as Spider-Man didn't arrive on the scene until Phase Three. But now that Disney owns Fox, that means the likes of the X-Men and Fantastic Four can be woven into the tapestry.
If you were to ask me, 2019 is shaping up to be one heck of a year for DC animation. Already, we’ve been impressed by Reign of the Supermen and Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, with the long awaited Batman: Hush adaptation also set to arrive sometime this summer. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, meanwhile, is scheduled for release in the fall, but I wouldn’t doubt if that gets pushed to 2020 so that it can coincide with Wonder Woman 1984‘s theatrical debut.
Now that Ben Affleck has actually vacated the iconic role, the search is on for the next guy to play the Batman. Having first appeared on the silver screen in 1943, the Caped Crusader has been recast several times in the decades to follow. That said, it's only natural for this to be a hot topic whenever it comes time to fill the void. Heck, most of these instances have arrived within our lifetime, so you should know how this dance works.
Considering how Avengers: Endgame clocked in at around three hours in length, it can be somewhat hard for moviegoers to pick out their favorite moments from amongst so much awesomeness. Of course, there's the obvious stuff that'll forever change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's landscape, but there are also the little things to enjoy.
If you yourself didn't actually cry while watching Avengers: Endgame for the first time, then maybe one of your friends did. Really, my Facebook feed has been lit up by people saying they "needed all the tissues," or by those posting photos of themselves following a thorough sobbing.
When we first learned that Cicada would serve as The Flash season 5's big bad, I doubt any of us thought that his true identity would differ from the source material - or that his niece would travel back from the future, murder him, and take up his mantle. But I guess that's what happens when everybody enjoys screwing with the timeline.
In less than two weeks, Arrow's seventh season will have concluded and we'll be forced to endure several months without new adventures featuring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer. On the plus side, the next couple of episodes should prove to be quite explosive, as past years have taught us around this time.
With the highly publicized fiasco that was Justice League‘s production well behind us, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been waiting with bated breath for Zack Snyder's next movie. Well, this may come as a shock to some, but it’s not something to be released under the umbrella of Warner Bros. Rather, Army of the Dead will debut on the Netflix streaming service once it’s ready.
