One of the things I love about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that, like the comics on which it's based, it's chock full of great supporting characters. In fact, True Believers could make valid arguments for some being able to carry their own movie - namely War Machine.
Yes, I'll concede that the current season of Legends of Tomorrow has a lot going for it, but you have to admit how the inclusion of John Constantine helped boost interest in the series. After his own show was unfortunately cancelled by NBC after only 13 episodes, Matt Ryan's iteration of the exorcist has become an unexpected and welcome addition to the Arrowverse in the time since.
After surprising us all with a rather impressive first season, there's got to be a new level of anticipation going into Titans' sophomore run. Already, casting has been heating up, as major characters like Superboy, Deathstroke and Jericho have been added to the equation.
If Hollywood has taught us anything, it's that just because a film franchise has been rebooted, there's no law expressly stating that one can't return to its original timeline. Halloween has already done so with great success, and I'm sure more than a few people are wishing that Hellboy can do the same.
Despite Milla Jovovich having a number of onscreen credits under her belt, I think it's safe to say that the two film properties we associate with her most are The Fifth Element and Resident Evil. After all, the former put her on the map back in the day, and she ended up starring in all six live action flicks released under the banner of the latter.
Now that the cat is out of the bag and Barry Allen is well aware that his daughter, Nora, is in collusion with his archenemy, Eobard Thawne, expect for the Scarlet Speedster to seek answers when The Flash returns for the final handful of episodes making up season 5. And though I'm pretty sure Nora is innocent in this situation, I understand that her father wants to be 100% sure of what's going on.
Barring Salvation (though one could certainly argue semantics), every Terminator movie to date has included Arnold Schwarzenegger in a prominent role. After all, a symbiosis exists between the two insofar that the franchise and actor boosted each other’s recognition considerably back in the 1980s.
It goes without saying that Avengers: Endgame has so much hype behind it that it can be hard to sum up all the different reasons it appeals to moviegoers. But if we were to single out one simple bullet point, it's that the followup to Infinity War is essentially the culmination of an eleven-year journey that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Boy, 2008's Iron Man really does feel like it was released an eternity ago.
Even with the likes of a Pet Sematary remake and Annabelle Comes Home dropping in 2019, it may be safe to say that IT: Chapter Two may very well be the most anticipated horror movie of the year. After all, the previous installment pulled in a ton of cash and garnered much acclaim back in 2017, so it's fair to assume that audiences are dying for more.
Like some of you, I've kind of been getting event fatigue in recent years because the Big Two just can't cease rolling out one limited crossover series after another. In fact, they sometimes put out more than one at a time. But when they turn out to be good reads, then you really can't complain too much.
