Though I’m currently digging Legends of Tomorrow much more than I did during its earlier days, I must confess that season 1’s “Star City 2046” may very well be my favorite episode to date. In that, the Waverider crew visited the Emerald Archer’s stomping grounds in a dystopian future where Connor Hawke AKA John Diggle Jr. inherited the mantle, with Oliver Queen himself being a one-armed recluse. On top of that, Slade Wilson’s son, Grant, held dominion as the second Deathstroke. Yes, it was pretty cool.
After witnessing the likes of Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Beware the Batman being granted Blu-ray releases, fans have probably wondered what’s been the holdup when it comes to Batman: The Animated Series getting the same treatment. Granted, those other shows are more recent and require less in the way of polishing, but that doesn’t change the fact that many of us have been waiting impatiently for such a thing to happen.
Even though we brought you images taken from next week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow just days ago, The CW have coughed up even more photos. This time, believe it or not, the goodies pertain to the adventure to follow one week later, that being "Wet Hot American Bummer."
Right now, I'm willing to once again state that The Flash's fifth season has been consistently impressive. I may have had good things to say about the premiere, sure, but you can really never tell how quickly the show as a whole could potentially go downhill. That said, I'll ask you to recall the earlier episodes making up the previous season.
As of tonight, the crew over at STAR Labs appear as though they're one step closer to learning Cicada's true identity thanks to some crack detective work done by Ralph Dibny and Sherloque Wells, but they'll all have to contend with one of the most unique freaks of the week we've ever seen when The Flash airs its next brand new episode.
For several years now, the Arrowverse certainly hasn’t been shy when it comes to fleshing out the Multiverse. In fact, last year’s crossover event, “Crisis on Earth-X,” really took that concept to new heights. But now that we know of how this fall’s offering has been dubbed “Elseworlds,” it’s expected that a wealth of new storytelling possibilities will open up.
Though the past decade has given rise to many exciting new horror franchises such as The Conjuring, Insidious, The Purge and Sinister, it stands to reason that moviegoers won't forget the classics. Heck, the monstrous success of the latest Halloween flick is evidence of just that.
Just yesterday, fans of Gotham found reason to breathe a sigh of relief when it was finally revealed that the Batman prequel series will return for its fifth and final season on Thursday, January 3rd. Given that, it won't be much longer before we see Shane West debut as Bane and whatever other goodies the producers have in store.
Last night, when I wrote up an article focused on the first trailer for next week's episode of Arrow, "Level Two," not only did I say photos would likely be right around the corner, but I did warn of the possibility that they'd focus on something other than what was covered in the promo video. If you'll recall, the footage primarily centered on Oliver Queen's stint at Slabside and the new Emerald Archer continuing on making an impact on the outside.
Upon viewing tonight's episode of Arrow, "Crossing Lines," I couldn't help once again thinking how different of a show it's become. Really, it's like a completely different series than what we've been watching since 2012. Still, it's making for some edge-of-your-seat television, so that's a plus, I guess.
