The announcement that The Haunting of Bly Manor will feature entirely new characters rather than bring back those from The Haunting of Hill House has been somewhat bittersweet. While it'll undoubtedly be interesting to see what direction the show decides to go in next, it's still going to be hard to move on from the Crains. After ten episodes with the colorful cast, it felt like the viewer became part of the family.
It isn't quite as bad as Samuel L. Jackson never winning an Academy Award, but it's still pretty ridiculous that Rob Zombie has never been the subject of a Funko Pop! figure before. But as the old saying goes: better than late than never. With his new movie 3 From Hell set to hit theaters this September, those at the company have finally gotten around to turning the legendary musician/filmmaker into one of the lovable figurines.
It's pretty uncommon to see a movie acquired at Sundance go on to get the sequel treatment. Then again, everything about the 2018 thriller Searching is out of the ordinary. While there have been a few successful films over the past few years that play out almost exclusively from the point of view of computer screens (Unfriended, The Den, etc.), none have been able to pull it off as well as this flick did. Studio executives clearly agree, as the critically-acclaimed Aneesh Chaganty feature is reportedly getting a sequel.
While many fans wouldn't recognize him on the street, Kane Hodder is arguably the most important piece of one of the biggest horror franchises in cinematic history. The actor has portrayed Jason Voorhees more than any other performer in the Friday the 13th series, donning the infamous hockey mask in four separate installments. According to him, however, that's not enough. Hodder recently revealed his wishes for the next chapter and they involve him returning as the notorious slasher:
Kane Hodder may be one of the horror genre's most prominent under-the-radar actors. While he's portrayed plenty of iconic slashers, he's often hidden behind a mask and thus never given the recognition that he deserves. The sixty-four-year-old is mot known for playing Jason Voorhees more than any other performer, as he donned the infamous hockey mask in four separate Friday the 13th films. He also was the stunt coordinator on Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, which included performing some stunts as the fearsome bad guy. Mor impressive still, his arm was used as Freddy Krueger's at the end of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Hodder has had a career that many in the industry would envy, but he still longs for the opportunity to play perhaps the most well-known fictional serial killer on the big screen: Michael Myers.
3 From Hell is one of the most-anticipated horror releases of 2019. The conclusion to Rob Zombie's gory Firefly family trilogy has been teased non-stop thus far by practically everyone involved with the production. Now, the first official images from the movie are out and they're just as heart-pounding as fans would expect.
Those who thought it was tough to watch Mufasa die again in the most recent version of The Lion King aren't at all ready for what's coming next. According to our sources - the same ones who reveled that an Aladdin sequel was in the works last month, before it was confirmed this week - Disney is so happy with all of its live-action remake success that the company is now reportedly in the process of rebooting Bambi for a new generation of fans. While the movie is sure to bring a lot of cuteness to the big screen, it's also going to redeliver one of the most harrowing scenes ever seen in a children's film.
When you make a movie that's almost three full hours long, there's bound to be some scenes that don't sit right with people. However, it's never good when one of those people is the daughter of someone being portrayed onscreen. Recently, the daughter of Bruce Lee spoke out against a scene in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood that she felt painted her late father in a negative light.
Those who could barely get through The Haunting of Hill House without screaming might want to watch the second season with the lights on. According to director Mike Flanagan, The Haunting of Bly Manor is even more frightening than its predecessor.
Those who hated having the song "Let It Go" stuck in their head for months on end back in 2013 are in for a rough winter. According to Josh Gad, Frozen 2 is going to be stacked with even catchier songs than the original.
